Skills training for managers

Kean L&D was engaged to develop and deliver an Introductory Management Skills course for the UK office of the world's leading digital coupon marketplace. The programme was targeted at managers with less than two years’ experience to give them a foundation in leading management theory and practice, but also to develop an awareness of their own strengths and weaknesses, to prepare them for the next level of management training being lead from the US parent company.

The programme was rolled out across the European team and was then supported by further “bite sized” training sessions for staff at all levels – in English and French - on Developing your Team, Managing your Manager and Assessing and Flexing Communication Styles.

 

Design and delivery of Recruitment and Selection training for a leading national Radio group

Kean L&D was engaged to develop and deliver recruitment and selection skills workshops incorporating the rollout of a new competency framework across, firstly, the Commercial Division of the business and then the remainder of the business.

Kean L&D spent a great deal of time listening to their requirements and created a bespoke 2-day training course that fully met the organisation’s objectives, both in terms of content and cultural “fit”.   The feedback from attendees, including members of the HR team, was consistently positive.

 

Strengthening the leadership team in a law practice

Kean L&D was asked to work with the Partner team in a small, niche practice specialising in employment and company commercial law in developing a number of areas, including the performance management process and the associated management skills within the organisation. As part of this work, we ran sessions with the Partners to help them formalise their strategy for the organisation and align their talent management efforts to support this.

 

Increasing confidence and self awareness through personal skills development

Kean L&D were engaged to work by Abundant Sun to provide training for one of their key clients with the aim of increasing the representation of women, disabled and BAME employees in senior management positions. We designed and delivered a number of programmes with a real focus on developing confidence, self-awareness, communication skills and working successfully through change.
